IGNORE THE LOOP It's a draft.

Surprise? It's what I've been working on in the past 2 months. Not regularly, of course. I've been busy with school. :shakefist:

Take a good look at it, 'cause this'll be a little project I'll be working. To improve effects and skills. And boy, does it need some work. :no:

Critique. Critique. Critique. Please. I'm open to any advice. How should the thunder look? Animation, more effects. Anything!

And if anyone could show me some lightning techniques and examples I could study would great. Paticularly if their tutorials or pixel art.

I know I haven't submitted any full emotes recently. I really want to, but I don't have Fireworks. :icongrumpinessplz: I hate colouring on photoshop. This makes a lot of shading glitches.

I find that your skills lack shading o.o
For that lightning thing you use red and white, nothing inbetween?
Or maybe that's just me.
But yah, more shading brah

I figured it was light: Lightning, cartoonistic-style, doesn't really have any colours besides white. However, if it needs shading, I'll pput it on.

Pixelling lightning is gonna be tricky and time-consuming. :icongrumpinessplz:

I guess it doesnt need much shading, but it looks kinda.. empty?
Maybe you should add some red strokes to the lightning, in the middle or something.
I'm really bad at explaining things like these.

I get what you mean. :>

I know in the game that the lightning bolts look completely different: they look like beams, but inside are all these branches of electricity. Using that as a reference though would be hard though. :shrug:

Dude that's epic! :omg:

I love the giant white explosion and the way it disappears. The lightning looks a bit "less awesome" compared to the other parts. Don't know if its the lack of detail or just that it looks a bit laggy.
Love the red and white color scheme you've used for the effects! Great job
